Regular readers of this blog would need no more introduction when it comes to Olloclip. On my last review, I wrote about how Olloclip married Apple-grade engineering and innovation to create a great product when it created the original 3-in-1 Olloclip lens. I was a proud owner of the original almost as soon as it came out, and am still a happy customer.
Just when I thought that there was no more could be done with the original, Olloclip had proved me wrong and showed that there were still a lot more ingenious idea from where it came from.
This might’ve sounded quite anecdotal because of its simplicity, but what could be better than a 3-in-1 lens?
And that’s exactly what Olloclip had created.
All 4 One
The original 3-in-1 lens includes a Fisheye lens, a Wide-angle lens and a Macro lens. When I heard that Olloclip was releasing a new 4-in-1 lens, I genuinely thought that they would complete the original trio and added a Tele Lens to create a perfect combination. I was wrong. Apparently Olloclip had a different plan.
The 4th lens turned out to be another Macro!
If the original 3-in-1 kit has a Macro lens with 10x magnification, the new Macro lens has 15x magnification.
The new Macro lens can be revealed by unscrewing the Fisheye lens, whilst the 10x Macro lens can be found underneath the Wide-angle lens.
Here are some example pictures and a video I took with the new Macro lens.
Higher Grade
The kit, like its predecessor, is made of high grade materials. The barrels are made from anodised aircraft-grade aluminium. It’s very light but feels robust.
But compare to its older sibling, the new 4-in-1 has a sleeker design and the precision-ground coated glass optic has a superior quality. This gives you less distortion and a sharper image, especially around the edge of the Fisheye and Wide-angle lenses. Have a look at these photos taken with the old and the new lens.

Olloclip 4-in-1 lens comes in 5 combination of colours to suit your device or your mood. You can get the Silver Lens with White Clip, the Red Lens with Black Clip, the Black Lens with Black Clip, the Space Gray Lens with Black Clip or the Gold Lens with White Clip.
If you are new to Mobile Photography and just acquired your first iPhone, the Olloclip Lens ranges are a good investment for your photography needs. Just beware of knock-off lenses that people often sells in the market. As a rule of thumb, you will get what you pay for. So if it seems cheap, the chance is that it is.
