WaterField Designs is a San Francisco company that has been making bags and cases for digital devices since 1998. All WaterField products are design and locally made in San Francisco, which for me is quite an achievement and dedication on its own.

Today I’m reviewing one of WaterField fine designs, the Suede Jacket (Slip Case) for iPhone.

Fashion and Function

As its name suggests, this slip case is made from suede material which means it’s very smooth and fine to touch. The fabric is pretty strong but also flexible.

This slip case will protect your iPhone from scratch and minor ding, though it won’t help you if you drop it from height.

Pocket or Not Pocket

The black colour design is quite stylish and it comes with or without a pocket. The stretchy pocket is a perfect pouch to store your earphone, credit/bank cards or even some bank notes. Perfect at times when a wallet is a bit too overkill.

Slim-Fit vs Regular

You can get WaterField iPhone Suede Jacket for iPhone 5/5s/6/6 Plus and you can choose whether you will use it with your iPhone ‘naked‘ or with a Bumper/Apple Case.

The one I’ve got here is the ‘naked’ edition, which means that you can’t have other case on your iPhone and also ‘wear’ the Suede Jacket at the same time. Let’s just say that the ‘naked’ edition is a Slim-Fit cut, while the non-naked version is a Regular cut.

Final Verdict

If you are a ‘slip-case’ person, this is a cool case for you.  Not only that it’s stylish but also functional and it will protect your iPhone from scratches.

The WaterField iPhone Suede Jacket cost $15 without a pocket and $19 if you add a pocket.
